I think you could legitimately make a grand or so from parting out if you do it right. Get it towed home and get to working, you'll learn how to take apart an S13 in the process and gain experience.

Yeah, I thought I had a bad day Wednesday. Got the good speeding ticket in the morning on the way to school, then other **** happened at school, then when I get out to go to my car, it wouldn't start. We towed it up to the garage and will look at it *hopefully* this weekend (been really busy). It's rough going just these 2 days without my 240, but at least I can still look forward to it coming home.

I'm the same way with my car as you are with yours, the paint is horrible, dents/cracks/scratches but I still keep it clean. The happiest day of my life was when I brought it home that day in mid-November '01. Been through some **** and the best escape was to cruise around and think about ****.

that is what i was thinking when you said the front end was damaged, about getting the silvia conversion. but it would probably cost you over 2,000 unless you search around you might find something cheaper. i dont know how bad it actually is so i cant really tell you for sure. but if it cant be fixed then part it out and get as much money as you can for it and start looking for another, you will find one, just beg your parents to let you get one. tell them how much it means to you. good luck.

Well imma see about getting it towed home for parts. I am going to look for another 5spd 92' 240sx so i can just use my *sniffle* first ones parts *sniffle* I will prolly part it out though, not much for me to part. the front end is done with. Anyone need parts for a S13? give me a list and a price you are willing to pay and I will see what I can do for you, as long as I know some of my ride still roars in the streets in hands of someone who loves the car as much as I once did. -jeff

yea that would be a very good idea if you keep it and get another s13 and use the wrecked one for parts. believe me, it will come in handy when things start breaking on your new one. just pull the parts off the old one.

My car got hit by a drunk driver that was uninsured. I settled it with the guys dad. I barely got the money to fix it , but i've decided to repaint and get a kit. So some things work out for the better. I did get kinda screwed though since my car is still ****ed up on the side. Its going to take me probally tell this summer to complete everything but once its done it will look awesome.

Don't let it get you down, bud. You should be happy that you, and all your freinds are alive and well. What happened is minor. Totalling your car was minor. So insignificant comparing to the big picutre. Imagine your car made it out ok, but two of your friends died. How happy would you be? A car is just a car. Its a thing that can be bought. Freinds can't be bought, and neither can life.

I understand something like a car can make you happy, and losing that car could make you sad. But every time you get sad, think of the things you DO have, like freinds and family. You know, along with the others in the accident, that it wasn't your fault. It was bad weather, and sh*t managed to happen. You got dealt a sh*tty hand, but life goes on. Now you have something to look forward to. Get a new 240sx. Treasure your freinds. Treasure your family.

Zebra, I understand what you are saying and all of it is very true, I would be 100x worse if anyone was hurt in the accident, but no one was and my car is the only one that is not comming out. If someone did happen to get hurt and my car still got fvcked up, believe me, i would be worried about them before my car, its just that no one got a scratch, everyone drove their car home (even mary with the fvcked trunk) except me. why does it happen to me? Mary, Craig, and Terry all had their rides bought by their parents. Mike and I work hard for every dollar we get. It just so happens that everytime i have something good, it is taken from me as soon as i think everything is great. Especially about you vicki!!!! i wrecked my 1991 mr2 turbo 8 days after i got it...i just got my license and i loved my 2...it was dark blue with a reaaaaaaly sweet clean body kit, that had a sublte chin spoiler, nice side skirts, and a little rear lip thing....it had a notchy little short shifter and a sweet sounding dual exhaust... and i hit a concrete wall in the rain...totaling it! i broke my nose in the wreck from the airbag, but other than that walked away unharmed...

man i miss it still, but wrecking it taught me to be more careful in the rain, and it lead me to my 240...which is a waaaay better car! so you see something good will come from all this bad...i promise! you just gotta hang in there man... and from the sound of it you are...

frame bent, lights are about 1 1/2 feet back from where they should be, my stock intake (i bought obx and got it in the mail the same day as the wreak) is crushed back, i have not looked much more into the damage, but my nice new neighbor is knowledgable in cars!! he said he will take a ride with me to check it out and tell me if its worth fixing, he said if it is he knows how to pull chains and help me with prices! WERD to him and NeedCAforS13 the funniest s*** about your comment, some dude offered to sell me his 92 turbo MR2 its yellow and in prefect condition... i found that funny how we might play revirse roles heh but i rather have my 240 <3

unfortunatly :withstup on this one...mr2's (at least the 90 and 91's) had snap oversteer problems...toyota redesigned the rear suspension in 92 to help cope with the problem...

Imma have it home soon, my neighbor is gunna take a look at it for me and tell me what he thinks we can do. I personally dont think it should cost too much, but hey, once again i dont know s*** especially about prices. Anyways, I will decide tomarrow if imma try to fix it or part it. hmmm...i've been quoted appx $300 for a front clip (usdm 240sx) of all body panels...jdm silvia stuff will probably run you $1000 plus $300 shipping...don't know about frame damage...

reminds me of when i wrecked my eclipse - i loved that car, even though she was as slow as can be. i was soooooo pissed when i wrecked her and it was like a month b4 graduation and I had just broken up w/ my g/f.....life was just peachy. but then i found my 240 and that fixed everything. now that my 240 died, i got my z31 turbo.....there's always something better just around the corner if ya wait for it man!
