I had some information about this pulse spark plugs. I've been thinking about add them to my Versa but the thing is that I dont know if they are gonna affect the warranty or the life of my engine. The model for the Versa S 1.8L are de DG-1 and each cost $25.99. I'll like your opinion cuz im really interested in them.

Never seen them before.

The plugs that are in th car from the factory are fine for all but the absolute most demanding circumstances, probably ones none of us here will ever experience.

I've used all kinds of plugs in my vehicles over the years, from regulars to plats, splits, and 4-tip plugs. Honestly, none of the more expensive, gimmicky plugs has ever performed better than a plain jane platinum plug. Like the ones that are factory installed.

Ehh, I really like the Bosch dual sparks. The quads are a little overkill but in my past 4 cars I did notice a slight increase in power and fuel economy. Except for my '92 3000 GT SL. I could only get to the front 3 plugs but to get to the back three I pretty much had to take the entire top of the engine apart...I was too lazy at the time so I never did it. lol.

I appreaciate all ur comments. This is brand new technology and has a big advertisement in car's magazines; the thing is that im afraid if this could damage the engine . It sounds pretty good, and even convinced me to buy it, i just want some info, a testimony if its possible, or the advice of a mechanic. Anyway, if i buy it, ill let you know .

Don't waste your money on this garbage. If you want to see an improvement that costs nothing but your time, index your plugs.

The factory spark plugs are iridium tipped plugs that allow a change interval of 100,000 miles. I do not believe that you will see any gains in changing out the spark plugs. BTW, I am running iridium tip replacements in another vehicle and love them. The cost at retail is $15-$20 per plug.

Isn't "Indexing" the samething as "Gapping" or correcting the "GAP"?

hey be nice, indexing is making sure the spark plug(basically putting the little arm twords the exhaust so there is no interfeirance) fires into the incoming air from the intake valve, time consuming to get right and again only worth 1-2 HP, i have seen dyno reports that claim gains with only those new plugs, but ive also seen a gain of 6HP from a change in weather, so really maybe only 1 hp which youll never notice, it might void the warrenty since the paper work says plat. tip plugs but who knows id wait a while and see how things work out, if anything you could index plugs and reground the coil packs....

you would never notice a thing by indexing your plugs on this car...maybe a harley at the drags that had 700 hp and you had to beat the other dude by .0001 sec....and i believe most plugs in new vehicle's are iredium

I found this dyno test information from the Dodge Talk Community Forum, this test was in 2005. They test 6 different types of spark plugs including the Pulstar plugs.

The test vehicle was a stock 2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4. The test was performed on a Mustang Dyno. They completed three runs for each plug in a cold, warm and hot state. then they averaged these runs to find the final average horsepower and torque numbers. The link below leads to the page containing all the dyno sheets. All results are based on the vehicle factory-specified gap setting of .050", except for the Pulstar plug, which had a maximum manufacturer recommended gap of .045"

After testing, the Pulstar plug had a horsepower advantage, having both the highest peak horsepower (205.95hp) and the highest average horsepower (204.04hp). The NGK Iridium IX showed the second highest average horsepower (203.78hp), and highest average torque (230.27 lb-ft), however, the NGK Iridium IX also displayed the most reliable and consistent horsepower figures. The Denso iridium showed the highest peak torque (235.96 lb-ft), third highest average horsepower (203.67hp), and second highest peak horsepower (205.51hp) and average torque (229.74 lb-ft).

Oh yes, because the spark plugs on your '08 are SO radically different from the '07.

Thje spark plugs from the 07 and 08 V's are the same,,,thery are double tipped platinum.(Not iridium). They are the same double tipped platinum plugs that ford, dodge and chevy use.Just different manufacturers. Chev is AC delco,Ford and Dodge both use Champion-(which I would never use in any thing other than a lawn mower-thats all they can handle.)

As for all these +2,+3,+4 bosch plugs.....crap.I used bosch platinums in my cavalier for the longest time,,the plugs break down way to quick,I was changing them every 50 k.

Andas My instructor told me abotu sparkplugs,,,you can have 50 tips on the plugs,it won't make a difference. Electricity is lazy it will take the closest path with the least amount of resistance. So all those spark plugs with multiple electrodes on them are a waste of money-it will only fire off of one electrode at a time .

Why would I go to a plug that cost more and get less mileage from. The standard plugs that come in the V's are good for 100,000 k's.Why would i change them to a plug that cost more and dosen't last as long as stock ones.

Just wondering if anyone noticed that on there site.Or is it just me being picky. Just my opinion,,,,
