So i had to remove the back seats in the vert to run my power wire for the battery in the trunk. For the past 3 months i haven't been able to do anything to the car b/c of not haveing the extra cash so its been sitting. So during that time apparently Rats/mice made there home there, which then turned my car into a bathroom for them.Thank God i could put the top down to air it out.So i wasn't planning on redoing the carpet but i just went ahead b/c it was so bad and cleaned everything and ran my cable! On to the pics!

Heres some before pics:

The Trunk

Yep thats Rat poo

Gutted:

The nest in the trunk with the dead mouse!!!

Cleaned and dyed carpet

All put back together!

What do your guys think?

i feel your pain...i store my car for the winter and I had the same trouble but i had pulled out 14 mice. they had made nests everywhere.. and i mean EVERYWHERE...in the headliner, vents, the blower motor assembly...wherever they can fit...i couldn't even stand next to it with out wanting to vomit because the stench was so strong...

Make sure you buy a fabric sealer or that stuff will rub off over time, pretty quickly too.

I tried using that stuff on my back seats and I could rub it off with a few hard brushes of my hand.

I used this stuff. Nothing is going to be permanent, but it helped a lot on my door panels. After I decided I didn't like the color, it took me FOREVER to brush it off. And I used one of those hard nylon/plastic brushes.

I just happened to find it on egay. Had never heard of the stuff before.

EDIT: Damn! Those are actually decent pics coming from my Iphone!

my dad just got an old corvair and we found untouched skeletal remains of a dead rat in the back seat! The whole tail bone is intact and it's creepy as hell

the interior looks much better
