i put my motor back togeather and when i took off the cams i marked where the on the sprocket where the chain was so i could just line them back up so its set to my origional timining which worked fine before i took the motor apart. the car tries to start and you can hear the 1st cylinder go but it doesnt fire up. when we played with the crank angle sensor we got it to hit a little faster but still will not fire up. do i need to re time the cams and everything. thats the only idea i have because it is so close to starting up

I would try that. Check this for good instructions. This fixed my problems.

You need to get a FSM from someone still sounds like timing.

is it comign from the Injector side? OR Turbo side or in the head? If its the intake/injector side its just the injectors cycling. Exhuast side it proabably is a exhaust leak. If the head you need to pull it back apart sounds like lifters.

if its the lifters could it be that i have a huge oil leak coming out of my timing chain tensioner gasket and thats just starving them ..my new gasket comes tuesday so i guess i will find out then

i guess you two gotta go through the process again. fuel in each cylinder and spark from each coil. then tdc with second mark from the left on the pulley (im pretty sure havent done it for a while) then the correct mark on the cas. should start right up. if not. check all the other wiring for missed connection or damaged wires. then if everything is good. probably internal issue.
