it cranks but doesent run

well played with the datsun to day got it to crank over, just ran wires from the starter to the battery it cranks over sprayed starter fluid in the carb still just turns over no running what going on with it now???

have you tried a consistent flow of starter fluid down the carb while cranking (2 person job) to see if it runs?

if you try that and it runs... you're simply not getting fuel to the engine

this could mean many things....

i donno if i have the distrupeder huuk up what wires r suppose to go to it other than the plug wires and 1 vacum line

Run a wire to the + of each coil from the battery, then crank it over. If it doesn't run then we will have to study this one some more.

the coil is geting fire took the top plug wire off it gets spark but the two wires off the dizzy might not be correct , i just hooked u some wires that would go that far i think it might be in the dizzy sence the motor that was in the truck was the douple spark , so im thinking the wires that are there r for the dual spark, so any body have a pic to show the wires to the dizzy and coil would prolly help lol

So...are you running a duel plug motor or a single???if its duel plugs i can shoot you a pic no problem..if not mine wouldn't be the same as yours...let me know if i can help and ill put them up rite away!!
