Well when I got my car it was just going to be a beat around town and deliver pizzas. I bought it with 2 blown air bags 2 bad injectors and a separated exhaust...lol. Once I fixed the injectors and rigged the exhaust back together I saw that it would go and go purdy darn quick!!! so here we go...

I have a crank pulley to install this weekend as well. When the wife lets me buy more parts its going to exhaust then lowering springs....lol....man this is fun!!

IMO, you'll get the biggest bang for your buck from a Y-pipe. Enjoy!

Headers are actually the best bang for the buck.

Not on the 4th gens. Though, I wouldn't doubt that they are the best bang for the buck on 5th gens and newer.

You won't be disappointed with a y pipe!

Header kits for the VQ30 include a new Y-pipe. Cattman claims 40-50% gain over y-pipes alone.

Cattman headers yes, normal headers no. The y pipe is the best bang for the buck period. if u really want to have fun um boost it.

How about "It's better use of your money to get a header than simply the y-pipe in the "grand scheme of things"". Otherwise, look for a used V2 setup.

well have you seen how much cattman headers cost? he can have a used blower setup for the price. A y pipe can be had for 300 bucks so again bang for buck is y pipe.

LOL....yeah Header/Y-pipe is in the future. Im only starting with the exhaust cuz its held together with flex pipe and bailing wire(good to be a hoosier) but its working for now. I have a UDP to go on it next then its off to the exhaust shop as soon as the wife says "Go"...lol. My list right now dosent get so crazy as to boost it with a turbo so big you have to hold your kid back from being sucked in(cough cough kzoosho cough) but I do want some more power to smack the kids around here around at the drag strip. Once the exhaust is finished Im going to put an eye out for the Pathfinder TB and possibly the 00VI but I dont know just yet. Dont want to get crazy with tuning for bigger injectors and all that fun stuff but then again I didnt think I would go but a CAI and UDP either

Straying away from the exhaust here but does anyone have a JWT ECU or TCM or both?? I found an ECM on ebay for $250 but unfortunately the wife has halted my spending till I get the current batch of parts paid for. After I get the exhaust on I was considering the ECM from JWT and wanted to know if any of yall had any feed back for me.

Also when I had my little 4 banger Mitsubishi Mirage there was one of those "free mods" that I noticed helped a little when u cant afford the fuel pressure regulator. We used to cap the factory FPR on the end of the rail,it idled horribly in park but when u hit the gas it dumped a bunch a fuel and I thought IMO it helped come off the line. The aftermarket FPR once I got it was set at 45psi at idle so when you romped it you were pretty close to 100% duty cycle on the injectors....lol. It was OBD1 so there really wasnt any tuning available. Thoughts???

Dumping fuel will do nothing but but decrease your fuel economy bro. if you want more power you need to get more air in, add more time, so in other words you need a tune.

I figured I was going to have to get a tune...lol. Unfortunately Im new-ish to the Tuner thing and have no clue where a tune shop is around me. Is an ECM flash the same thing as a tune???
