A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Hello again guys. So I got the 01 Sentra 1.8 running and found out a few more things about the motor swap. So I received a series 2 QG18 out of a 04 bluebird sly physical. My car had a series 1 QG18. Fun fun. So after a ton of stress busted knuckles and hassle I got the bucking fixed and it runs relatively stable now. I have 3 codes left to fix. P1140, P0505 and P0171. My question is about the P1140 swirl valve code. I replaced the actuator (gold bell looking thing) the swirl control solenoid (green with the 3 vacuum hoses on it) as well as the sensors ( 3 camshaft, valve timing, and crankshaft). My question is what should I look into next. When I ripped out the old engine I didn't have this code. I had alot of others but not this one. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated cause I don't want to go to stealership cause they will just tell me to replace the entire intake manifold

Hmmm, FSM for the 2001 at page EC-516 has some info on this. I'm not sure how directly it will relate to your newer engine. I looked at FSM for a 2004 sentra and it's not even a thing in there for code 1140. If you've replaced the sensor and checked your wires, maybe you just need to clear codes and see if it comes back.
