Hi Guys,

I'm hoping for any help or suggestions with this:

Car: 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 3.5 SE

So last night I parked my car and rolled up my windows as I normally do by pulling both windows buttons all the way back and releasing. The driver window rolled up completely but the passenger windows stopped rolling up as soon as I released the buttons.

I held the button a bit longer and released and again it stopped when I stopped.

I attempted to roll up the window from the passenger door but still had the same issue.

Both the driver and passenger windows roll DOWN fully and automatically with no issue from either door.

It would seem to me that it's some sort of relay or CPU related issue since it doesnt work when tried from either door (the buttons themselves arent the problem?)

Any help/suggestions would be great!

Thanks!

had the same thing happen to me, if your battery or something is disconnected the auto settings for your window/etc can be lost untill they are reset. i think reseting the windows was discussed a while back. you do it with your remote

You have to reset your windows. In order to do that, roll both front windows up half way then at the same time roll both up and hold the window buttons for like 10 seconds after they hit the top. After that you should be good, hope that made sense.

I did just have the car inspected the same day it happened. I suppose it's possible the battery got pulled or something got messed up when they connect their computer to mine. I'll start looking for something on resetting the windows settings. If anyone happens to have/find the link please post it here.

Thanks!

I just told you how to do it, now go outside to your car and try it.

lol Thanks. I must have been writing the reply at the same time you were posting yours.

So I tried it and now the passenger windows is working perfectly, but the driver window is possesed (lol).

If it's rolling up automatically, it'll make it but here's what's happened so far:

I was rolling it up without the auto click, and it just decided to reverse and head all the way back down. Once down it wouldn't budge. I turned the car off and back on and I was able to let the auto up close it all the way. I rolled the window about half way down and then tried to make it go back up and it would not, not even when engaging auto up. BUt it's would still let me take it all the way down and again would not let it go up until I restarted teh car again. So weird.

Never had that happen before, I would say just try and reset it again.

I walked away from the car for a while and it all seems to be working properly now!
I dunno what happened with the driver windows but it's fine now and now I know what to try if it gives me issues again.

Thanks for all help, I really really appreciate it and I'm really relived it's all working!
