So here's the deal. In my vert, I lost power to my constant wire that controls my radio. My power antenna stopped going up and down. Also, my interior lights don't work anymore. On my cluster my open door light flashes all the time while I'm driving, and everytime it flashes, my clock on the cluster resets.

Any ideas? Probably a gound somewhere, I just don't know where to start.

start with checking every fuse. (Not just the radio fuse as it could be something other then that) ive never had the problem in my 240sx so i dont know the exact fuse but usually the dome light runs on the same circuit. and the reason your power antenna does not work is because your radio has to come on because your radio supply's the antenna motor with power.

hope this helps

Isn't this it?zerothread?id=205732

4cedkoop,It sounds like your alternator might be going bad. You better check it out. It should put out 14.5v or something like that constantly. Problem is... if it goes bad completely, you will have to tow your car, so make sure your alternator is generating enough power. Wiring on alternator and belt are also common things to check.

SO!!!!! It's FIXED!!!! And you sir.... are the man for finding that thread. I don't know if those wires for the auto antenna were bad, but, I took out the jack, and individually insulated the wires. Plugged the 2 antenna plugs back in. And I put a new 10amp fuse into the dome location. Took it for a drive. My door ajar and the interior lights kept blinking. My passenger door wasn't closing enough to put enough pressure on the door switch. I tried moving the door latch on the body to hold the door in more, but, that didn't work. So, I used double sided tape and now I'm good. No more problems besides the seatbelt light stays on ALL THE TIME!!!! Lol, I'll prolly just pull it. Both belt harnesses are still connected, so I'm not sure what the deal is.

Here's the thing, I'm smarter than this, lol. I had no idea that the dome fuse being out would cause all that to happen. Maybe it was a combo of the wires and the fuse. I checked the wires over well, and I didn't see any cuts. Anyway, bottom line, it's fixed. Thanks again guys.

I'LL TAKE TWO 240sxConvertible stickers now please..... who and what do I need to pay?

Great! Glad you appear to have solved the problem. You might also. review another article I wrote called, "How Sxxy1992 (Stella) got his (her) "Lunch" (groove) back!!! (Blown fuse Fixed!)". It has been archived and is only accessible thru the archive. written 10/28/2006. But has some detailed pics and hopefully real helpful information. Some simple things really eat our lunch from time to time. Take care.
