Im not sure where to start with this...the car started to Idle higher I noticed about a month ago.about 300rpm more or so.about 2 weeks agoI was at the stop sign leaving work and I let off the break and it started foreward as if my foot was resting on the petal.not lurching or taking off,but just easily inching foreward at a steady rate.I put the car into nuetral and the rpms jumped up slightly.and I wonderedwhats going on now?the issue seems to decrease on long trips, but you drop it in nuetral and the rpms jump about 5 or 600.I read Goodys thread on his transmission issues last week and wonderd if its aissue with a sensor there or throttle control Issue?MAF seems to be okayplugs secure and such.(yes I know that doesnt mean much at all)Cleanedthe MAF sensor about awhile back just to keep things clean.

shes going into service here next week for new strut mounts, bearings, etc.new upper control arm bushings.rotors,pads.getting things procrastinatedtaken care of,but if this is something I can troubleshoot myself Id make the time for it.anybody got any clues??????????????????????

Make sure you have the specified "slack" in the throttle cables... they should be adjusted when the car is fully warmed up. If you adjust them while the engine is cold, the fast idle cam will cause problems.

I also have an intermittant high idle that shows up every once in a while... pulling the battery cable for a few seconds resets something and I'm good for 6 months or a year... so you might try that too.
