I am knew to this forum and could use some help. I have a 2010 Nissan Rogue and the headlights refuse to stay off. A week ago i went out to my car and it was dead, after getting it jumped i drove around for a little bit and after switching off the lights i noticed they were still on, so i proceeded to turn off the ignition and nothing changed. i could not figure out how to fix it (note: while i was trying to figure it out, they would occasionally go off, and then flicker and come back on) and it was late, so i unplugged the battery for the night and then the next morning everything seemed to be fine, but the morning after that, it was dead again. When i jumped it again, i looked at the off lights and after a few minutes they began flickering and turned back on, just like the first night. So the day after that I took it to a car repair shop and after a day of it being there, they said they ran tests and found nothing and they actually didn't see what i was talking about. I assumed maybe it fixed itself, and the next morning it was fine, however i went out to my car today (its been a day or two since the repair shop) and it was dead again. I don't know what to do or how to fix it, and its hard to take it to professionals when the issue isnt even occurring 100% of the time. I would enjoy not having to disconnect my battery every night, so any help would be much appreciated!

It sounds like the switch has gone bad. Nissan Part No.: 25540EE90E

Ok thanks, i expected it to be something more internal since the rest of the lights are working fine. Is that something i could easily replace myself, or should i take my car somewhere?

Or the headlight relay could be stuck (in the IPDM)
