I did the dual exhaust cam mod on a friend of mines car, and heres what happened. We put the motor at TDC with the lobes facing outward. I took the chain off and zip tied the gears. I put the exhaust cam on the intake side and rotated it four teeth counter-clockwise. I didnt touch anything else while the upper timing chain was off. I put everything back together aside from the valve cover and tried to rotate the motor to make sure everything was good and it would only go about a quarter of a rotation either way. I thought the lobes on the exhaust cam looked too big, so I just figured the lobes were going out further than the valves and that was stopping it. So I put the intake cam back on, and its still doing the same exact thing. I cant think of anything that would be causing this, so any suggestions would really be appreciated.

It can't be the valves hitting the pistons if its doing the samething with the intake cam back on! But I would suggest taking the cams off to see if the bitten end rotates by itself!
