tell me again the benefits (or not) of using Isoheet, to remove water from fuel tank.

and also the DIFFERENCE between Heet and Isoheet

I remember some conversations, but I don't recall the conclusion.

Also, is it possible to get a hose into the tank from the filler to siphon out the "bottom of the tank"?

Thanks

Sure, but why bother? Did you confuse the water hose for the gasoline hose?

Iso=HEET is isopropyl.

HEET is methanol. Not good for injectors.

HEET:

• The #1 brand for fast cold weather starts, and year-round water removal.• Safe for use in all 4-cycle engines, including fuel injected engines.• DO NOT use in 2-cycle (gas and oil mixture) engines, or in diesel engines: use Iso-HEET instead.• Prevents gas-line freeze-up. Removes water from fuel system.• Prevents rust and corrosion.______________________________________________________________ISO HEET

• Absorbs 5 times more water than regular gas-line antifreeze.• The #1 brand for fast year-round starts.• Safe for use in ALL 4-cycle and 2-cycle gasoline engines, and in diesel engines.• Use year-round to remove water from fuel system.• Prevents fuel-line freeze-up.• Prevents rust and corrosion.

But you should use ISO HEET every fill up as a NICO guideline.

Best way to remove crap form the bottom of the tank, is to remove the tank from the vehicle and thoroughly clean it.

i was referred to isoheet by my brothers uncle (a Q genius) and it has really helped me...

i highly suggest using it every fill up.. and if you cant fill up just add a half bottle to 20$ or so worth of gas

snd isoheet takes moisture out of ethanol... which most gas station gas has in it

Important to understand the chemistry of mixing alcohols with water when the alcohol is already 10% of the gasoline.

Isoheet just allows a little more water to stay in suspension instead of pooling at the bottom of tank at pump sock pick up point.

Important to understand how temperature affects the miscible mixture.

Excessive moisture contamination, the water can pull the ethanol out of the blend resulting in tank bottoms comprised of water, ethanol, and some hydrocarbon content.

I'm glad that there are a couple of gas stations in the area that sells 100% gas here.

but doesn't that separation occur only if the gas is SITTING awhile, like for 2 weeks? Like in boats? I thought that was why boats were having problems.

That separation is what was worrying me, and the reason I wanted to siphon off some from the bottom of the tank. So, are you saying adding MORE alcohol does what? Helps?

More isopropyl will keep the water in suspension with the gasoline.

Water and gasoline separate pretty quickly (different specific gravities) once the water amount exceeds the small concentration gasoline can keep suspended.

It can happen in as little time as overnight - Google it. I was surprised.
