From Enjuku Racing, got a good deal on it ordering from Ken.

Piece looks solid and almost exactly like more expensive units. Comes with the lower bushing, and the shifter can be dissembled if need be.

Aside from lowering the transmission and using a lift to put the shifter in, I had no trouble installing it. Used RTV to seal it up. Didn't even need longer bolts, surprisingly.

Once installed, the shifts are incredibly shorter. I'm coming from a custom made (by me) short shifter on a FWD vehicle, so the ISIS unit seems almost too short throw.

Side to side motion is almost completely eliminated, my 5th gear slightly difficult to find, but this may improve as the shifter loosens up. Knobs still about a inch lower than stock, which again, I'd prefer a slightly higher knob position, but this isn't enough of a difference to have me complain.

All in all, for the price, the ISIS Short Shifter V2 seems like a great deal, especially considering the cost of comparable units.

I'd be interested to see how much of a difference the B&M makes by comparison.

nice review man, i appreciate it. i was looking at it and was wondering how it would be. i love short shifters but finding a decent one for a decent price makes me skeptical. keep us updated if it loosens up at all.

Most of there products are replicas of something else isis manifold looks just like the megan and the megan looks close to the tomei . The intake mani looks like greddy . Im not trying ot bad mouth enjuku but those are the facts . I think they should have change the design a little or at least enough to make it look like there own . Most high rollers wont use low class parts that's just the ways it is . Im not pointing fingers with anyone on here but i do know some . My only thing is why not have some of these parts made your self If you think there's a flaw try to fix it with a new design .And if you dont know how then find some one who can help . Im so sick of hearing all the its a knock off with out saying its a knock off . We know this but if this isis company can improve on the the design with kens help then so be it .And make sure you never buy from walmart and some other stores also cause they ship there stuff out to china to be made .. Sorry this is my opinion and i wanted it to be heard .

i do respect your opinion and agree with it.many of there parts look alikebut just about everything looks like the other.

Bingo.

I'm not saying there is any thing wrong with ISIS or Megan, I currently use products from both companies.

I have seen an ISIS/MEGAN V2/EGAY shifter..... identical to each other. And surprising they are identical to the B&M shifter at roughly 25% the price. Sure B&M comes with the new boot and shiny blue paint, but mechanically they are the same. Except some will say that the latter ones are made with cheap Chinese 304 Stainless Steel and even crappier aluminum.

I do agree that repli-part manufacturers like Megan Racing and now ISIS really should spend just that little bit of extra time and try to improve on the design a bit.

For starter, I would've liked to have seen extension for the ISIS shifter, as I could have liked just a little bit more throw if it meant easier engagement. A grease nipple would also be really damn cool on a shifter.

All in all, when you know something has the pontential to end your life, you buy quality parts. I buy quality brakes, quality tires, wheels, suspension components, harnesses, seats, etc. Even just replacing saftey inspection parts when you don't need to is worthwhile because that stuff keeps you safe.

Bickering about quality of non-essential, non-saftey related products seems like a waste of time for me. If it gets the job done cheaper than something else, than sign me up.

This has been my point i buy cheaper parts . Now mind you i know im going to get flamed . I bought a knock off greddy type RS style bov now my friend came over with his 2jzgtte swapped sc300 he just got it done the last week .Any how he revved it up and the seal in the bottom came out it was bought brand new . Now for shiZZ and giggles i said hey put mine on there and low and behold did the same thing his did with out the seal blowing out of it . Ive been having a problem with people going through this big line of crap on my own web site and saying im a ricer and my group is the whole reason why greddy went bank rupt (i.e. they filed a chapter 11 i know this just repeating what person had said ) Now i do feel the industry has been hit buy to many crappy made cheap parts but some of it is ok to buy i really don't need to spend 1000.00 us dollars on an exhaust for the name hks its freaking ridiculous. Yes some people had designed it and yes they had R/D. But if im just looking for a straight through exhaust that i know will flow good then really if i go to my local shop or buy one some body has tried off ebay ,saves me 500.00 or more dollars im going to do it . and spend the 500.00 on the more serious stuff . I wont cheap out on certain things but i look for deals i bought my AEM wide band for 150.00 brand new never installed. To me the 500.00 i using as an example would be great for a name brand name clutch or some suspension parts .Iam so sorry for the rant this has been building up for a while now . I just hope you see my point and respect me, you don't have to agree .As i try to do everyone else

Yes I have used a B&M, I have one now. I don't have an ISIS I was just commenting on their products. I have seen all 3 dis-assembled, internally they all the same.

Cleaned up, there is enough mindless dribble around without interupting a review thread of a sponsor's product.

Yes there is a shifter rattling sound for this shifter if your going past 3k in any gears. its getting quite annoying. also sometimes the shifter wont shift into 1st....BIG PROBLEM..so im considering getting a nismo shifter just to go stock. Anyways lesson learned...you get what you pay for.

Shifter rattled is solved but securing the "boot stop", either with glue, epoxy, tape, or something else.

I have had no shifting issues.

I wish it were an inch or two taller with the same throw.

With my B&M (I am assuming it would be similar with the ISIS) I could chirp 2nd easily (stock DOHC) and couldnt with my stock shifter. Its really hard because I got 255's out back.
