I recently purchased the ISIS Dual Tip 3'' Straight Pipe and put it on my car and loved the way it sounds. So I decided I would like to help out the company, and others that are interested in possibly purchasing this exhaust for their vehicle.

First of all, The quality of the product is great! Welds look fantastic, and very strong.

The looks department- In my opinion it looks great, it looks better than having a fart can in my opinion.

Fitment- The fitment was perfect, It was easy to install and came with everything you needed for install.

Sound- Its very throaty up till about 3 grand then it turns loud and higher pitched. It is quite loud in the high RPM's.
I have had tons of compliments about the way my exhaust sounds from local car guys, they think it sounds great!
I still have the stock Cat on it so it's not as loud as a full straight pipe.

Now onto the pictures:

And a picture just because :)

ive got the 4 inch version. and i must say, they are f*** loud! but mine are straight all the way through. no cat, no resonator. love how they sound tho.
only complaint i had was that they hung down too far, so they were constantly scraping at the height i was at, which caused the bolts to loosen up and create an exhaust leak. not to mention i have been pulled over on more than one occasion because of them.
heres mine at idle.

That's funny I just put on my Isis Single 3" GT exhaust on my 98 with the 3" test pipe, and it sound throaty. Doesn't sound any bit ricey to me. Sounds just like my old man's Borela (spelling) On his 2000 BMW 328I.

I have a 3" straight through and love it as well. no cat or res. I have yet to get pulled over, but when I get on it, it is loud. I love it and how it sounds.

Different strokes for different folks! :) I love the way it sounds. I think it will sound even better when I can hear some spool in my exhaust ;)

While I do agree...kinda... I dont want this to turn into a classic KA vs SR blah blah stupid thread lol :)

I just do not understand how anyone could enjoy a straight pipe NA KA with no cat/resonator/muffler..

But, I guess im just another hater... :gotme

No no, I agree, KA's don't sound the best with straight pipe. Small engines don't usually sound too awesome with straight pipe exhausts.

Although, this does sound pretty cool

I have a header test pipe into a 3in exhaust n a 4in tip muffler and I was thinking about getting a that same 3in straight exhaust until one morning my fellow neighbors yelled at me plenty of times for waking them up at 4am when I'm on the way to work. But since I'm in a middle of a rebuild my elderly neighbor misses it bc now me has to remember to set his alarm clock is he doesn't piss the bed lol

100% agree with both of those statements. At least on an SR, you have the turbo to muffle things down a bit. But for a street car, having straight pipes is ridiculous, no matter what engine. At least throw a resonator/muffler on there. And with a N/A KA, it's all bark and no bite......

.....But that's irrelevant. Good review, glad to see ISIS is making decent products. :bigthumb:

A straight piped N/A 4 banger is really loud. I'm straight piped, but I have a fully built KA-T. Sounds sexy as hell!

Do you have any pictures of the exhaust before you installed it? Because I bought this exhaust for my S14 KA-T project and tried to install it and NOTHING lines up correctly, wondering if they didn't send me the one for an S13 by mistake. I'd just like to compare mine to pics of an S13 one if I could.

I'll have to double check when I get home but that looks like what they sent me. There was no part number or anything on the box. I wonder how different they are?

I figured but I was contemplating just taking it up the street to the local muffler shop to see if they could just do a bit of cutting and bending to make it fit, as opposed to going to all the trouble of exchanging it or selling it and buying the right one.

Edit: btw GO CARDS! :thewave:
