I just seen the Versa commercial on TV and on the back right side of the hatch I seen the SL badge. Hmmmm I paid for an SL, my window sticker says SL and all the body VINs match...hmmmm

Talking to a buddy of mine that works for Nissan Corp he said that the SL badge is a dealer ad on. I did not get this done.

Anyone experience this? I gave Nissan hell on the survey over this.

I got all the features SL should have and i do not have the SL batch.

I do have the invoice that says it is SL so in case of a probleme of any kind this piece of paper should do the work IMO

We don't need no stinkin' badges!

I think the Mexican factory workers forgot to put them on. They're all in Jose's toolbox. He's making a chandilier for his hacienda.

I don't have one, either.

Can't say I really care. I looked on the Nissan page and their 360 degree photo tour doesn't display one.

Our dealer wouldn't even give us a stinking cap and that is going on the survey. First time I've ever bought a new car where the dealer wouldn't give a cap. HONDA even gave hubby a cap and we didn't even buy the Civic!

Consider it factory de-badged.

I am actually interested in Badging my car. I would like it to say SL on it. My dealer wants $27.00 to order the badge for this car, they told me that the original badge is not yet available, but i told them to order me a Nissan Maxima SL badge. waiting for it to arrive. I do in fact need your opinion. should I also order the '1.8' badge that comes on the '06 Nissan Sentra? Since technically our cars are 1.8 S's or 1.8 SL's. your opinion is greatly appreciated. thanks

I think there are more important things you could complain about, like poor service or lying. But complaining about a 3 inch peice of plastic or not getting a hat seems silly...

OOh I didn't get a baloon. I'm calling consumer affairs right now!

If I got a Honda cap I'd wear it out.

Not having the SL badge is a legitimate quality complaint. I was only half kidding about Jose's toolbox. The badge is in the Bill of Material for the car so somewhere in the NISSAN organization is a pile of SL badges that didn't get put on cars.

If that were the case, and every little bolt were itemized, then I suppose you are owed a badge. But it's very possible they decided not to include it in this first shipment of cars. If that's the case, I'm not really sure what you can do. It seems like a losing battle to me.

Who cares about whether they got an SL badge when the TPMS doesn't even work right? Fix the real problems first and worry about the little crap later, I say. Besides, I've never been the type to need a badge or whatever to let someone trailing me in a base model know that I had the dough to spring for the "top o' the line". Just never really learned to care about what people thought about my car, particularly if they weren't helping me make payments!

I agree that it needs a badge so I bought one on eBay. Let me know what you think.

My Versa SL is supposed to arrive on Wednesday. If it doesn't have an "SL" badge on it, I'm going to make the dealer buy me one from a Mercedes dealer. Maybe I'll put the three-pointed star on the hood, too, to see how many people I can fool: "Look, Mom—it's the "Mercedes of minicars!"

When I saw the TV spot that had just the SL badge, I knew something was missing on my V. The Sentra uses the 1.8 with the SL badge. At least it is a place for each of us to put our own marque and personalize the V. Let's see what else we can put there: "Supercharged", "7.0 liters", "Twin Turbo", Mach None"......

How much did you pay for the "SL" badge on Ebay and are they still available?

I was fortunate to get a high quality OEM badge for $6.00 plus $2 shipping. I applied new 3M badge tape and it installed easily. I did a search for SL badge and SL emblem and found nothing to match the Nissan SL badge. A saved search with email notification could turn one up at anytime. Good luck!!

Haven't gotten my Versa yet, but seeing the models w/out the SL and 1.8 makes them look plain...if mine doesn't have the badge i'll just buy them from the Sentra

^hahahhaaa....

anyways, if you didn't get a badge, then you are OWED a badge.don't buy one!

nissan salesmen.... ALL car salesmen, will, in any way, find a way out of this. be persistent. i've seen some messed up stuff by salesmen.

if you bought your versa and it only came with one key, demand a second.don't pay for it. they have things called "due bills" which they fill out and you should get the things that are supposed to come with you car free of charge.say you bought an sl and it's a sport package, but at the time the sports package wasn't available but when it comes in, the parts that supposedly came with you car, should be yours free of charge (not really since you payed for the package). the way that happens is that they fill out the bill for the parts so that way you won't get charged for the parts.

you guys should get the idea.
