My living room was getting out of hand. I was busy doing homework and various other things instead of cleaning.

Then I cleaned up a little, tried to organize some stuff I got in the mail, and snapped this picture of my roomates playing guitar hero.

And here's the ghetto part, I'm using boxes as speaker stands...and yes there's speakers inside most of those boxes...and I have more unused stuff in the same room along with another room and closet. I just don't have enough time to continue working on getting my audio setup the way I'm supposed to.

Did you find the case of beer? It's in 3 of the 4 pictures.

Nice electronics-junkie themed batchelor pad! Is that a busted up plasma TV by the patio doors?

Most of those speaker boxes are filled with speakers for my parents. An upcoming birthday present. Still need to get a little more gear though. Then I'll have audio at the pool, patio, and computer room.

Yup. 58" Samsung. I thought I had found a replacement screen for it, but it ended up just being the glass filter. Still needs a screen or sold for parts.

This summer when I have more time to get my speakers built, I will put to use most all of my equipment, the majority of which is not shown in the pictures.

That's a nice present for your parents! People think I'm odd because I wired "zone 2" speakers into my bathroom, but I like to have tunes in the shower.

I'm going to say your monitor stand is the case of beer?

So YOU are the reason why on my JBL S36aw's I just picked up they say "not to be installed in shower stall".

Now you know! Actually I'm using the oh-so-fancy $20/pr. KLH Best Buy specials on the wall opposite of the shower. Not like I'm doing any high quality listening in there - just want some decent background noise... I have a couple of them outside for the deck and porch as well.

Yes and yes. My living room is full of boxes, chairs we don't use, a spare couch, a bicycle, boxes, more boxes, and a table with boxes on and under it.

LOL. Yeah, that's it exactly. The couch isn't for sitting on, it's for holding boxes!

My entry way to the front door doubles as both a place to hold excess crap and as a fire hazard, blocking the door.

it's not ghetto until you get a massive flat panel tv sitting on top of an old wooden cased tv.

i know most of us don't like to clean, but there's a unique feeling when you spend a whole day cleaning and organizing, only to f*** it all up in 5 mins
