I'm having electrical problems in my s13, and now I'm paranoid about everything. Real quick, go outside and look at your ECU with the car off. Is the LED on?

Wow, that's great. I can't wait to rip through miles of wire to find the problem. :woot:

Or you could order a new harness from Wiring Specialties..

Well, I would love to do that if I was rollin in cash :chuckle:

But the problem is in my chassis harness somewhere. My ka ecu did the same thing. I just need to replace the engine bay, dash, and cabin harnesses all together.

I recently added the ECU pinout to the SR FAQ links... It might help you in at least figuring out what wires you should trace.

well this is a lil easy. check to see if that wire is supposed to be a 12vdc constant signal or switched. i'm assuming it's 12vdc due to it keeping the memory stored. if not then u might want to do the ecu code check with the cal screw in the back. see what comes up!

If you're tired of problems get a new harness. Email me when you are ready [email protected]

I just pulled all of the harnesses and I'm checking all the circuits individually. Tedious work, but it will be worth fixing my 100s of electrical problems.

The led is usually an indication of internal ecu failure, sometimes a continuity issue with wiring,,,,

Fyi the ecu led with my "lol deep fried" ecu illuminates when installed, when I install the other ecu's the light disappears....

Well that is good info, I've never heard that. But mine was for sure a wiring problem. I went through the harness, fixed all my connections and circuits and everything is fixed. I feel like I'm driving a new car.
