Anything can be made to work, but the general consensus is that the parts supplied are all knockoffs and of questionable quality. Also, that is at best only half of what is needed to complete the job.

Don't buy it unless you are lucky and your not running high boost. The SS kits are no where near good but every now and then you'll get a decent one that can handle some abuse. If your going to be running low psi the kit should handle but you won't be satisfied so you'll up the boost and the kit will fall apart. So just buy a kit from our sponsor Boostdesigns and others and have one that will last. But it's your money and you may get luckily. I might buy one just to see how long it last but chances are it will take my motor with it.

I thought SSA threads werent allowed anymore...

If you had seen that SSA turbo's compressor housing that was literally GLUED then you would change your mind rather quickly...

My opinion. Not to be taken as scientific fact...

I would not purchase that kit. I could make it work, but I fear it would not last very long. I would end up having to replace both the turbo and manifold in quick order. Instead, why not save up a bit more cash and get a more universally acclaimed system that will stay together. Higher initial cost, but in the long run cheaper both in time and money.

do not buy that. it's not even a 'kit' it's just random turbo parts. plus that turbo is Way to small. with $1400 you're almost there, just save up a little more and you can put it all together yourself or buy a real kit from boost designs for $2000.

I don't know about the kit blowing up and all that, but it is true. You can basically buy all the components, including an SAFCII for $1400. I put a T3 turbo in my car, with a 27" bar n plate intercooler, SAFCII, turbo timer, new fuel injectors(370cc), wastegate, blow-off valve, downpipe, oil lines, ic piping, 3 different guages, and even a heat containing system(heat wrap) for my turbo.Do the research and you can come out on top with that money. P.S. You have to do all the work yourself, even welding, or the cost will hike up considerably.
