I was just looking around under the hood today when i popped open the fuse box and discover my alternator fuse is blown, this explains why my car died on me the other night. Also i noticed there is a place for a Ignition coil fuse if i remember right, located closest to the firewall right beside the alternator fuse, theres no fuse there tho. If this fuse wasnt in place(like in my car) what would it cause? Would it cause my car to sometimes start and other times not? I sure hope this is the culprit to all my starting problems. Let me know, and thanks guys.

I would put new fuses in those empty slots, and see if they blow after driving it awhile, if they blow you have a short somewhere.

If your alt fuse is blown that means you dont have a working alternator. You couldnt start because your battery has been run down. The ignition coil is a relay and I dont have one either. Why did your alt fuse blow? There are test fuses you can use that reset. The alt fuse is pretty expensive to blow over and over.
