im thinking about turboing the ka in my s14 but it has 185xxx miles on the motor is that a problem or should i buy another ka and rebuild and boost that any help is great thanks

If you have the funds/time/space to rebuild a motor, it's always better to go with forged internals and new water pump/oil pump etc.

Also, for the current motor, it depends on the compression and how well it has been maintained. There are several threads here about it.

Get compression test and if it's around 160-170 you should be fine. I preferre getting the block built w/ piston&rod, etc... so if you decide to boost high you wouldnt have to worry about getting it built later. KA's can make up to 400+whp w/stock motor(depending on condition of motor). Dont count on it being reliable w/ that kind of power.

it's kind of hard to tell you because we dont know what kind of power you want and what the car is going to be used for.
