i am new to nissan and the 240sx, i have been doing alot of research lately for another project (finished a 87 civic), and im looking into a 240sx. while lookin around, ive decided i wanna go wit a 97 s14. eventually im going to want to do a sr20det swap. i really like the overall look of the s14, especially the aggressive look of the front end. obviously i need the body first and ive been looking around on craigslist to see if there is one in my area. ive3 been looking for the past month and finally found one and i want u guys to take and look and give me some input.

http://baltimore.craigslist.org/cto/1744813351.html

the damage includes airbags deployed and its gonna need a new radiator and new control arm, so im figuring he must have hit something hard for the bags to deploy. now im pretty sure i can talk him down from $3500
ive been emailing him about the damage and wiating for his response.

thanks for any input, as this will be my first nissan and i have a lot of learning to do and ive been reading alot on these 240sx forums. i will take any recommendations as well.

also, are there any recomendations on a site that i can find good JDM motors. im not talking cheap, just a respecatable, good quality site that sells JDM motors. i went with ebay when i bought a motor for my previous project and luckily it worked out, despite some bad talk from the forum guys. any help in this aspect will be appreciated

Dude, the car should be totaled... if the airbags deployed, most insurance companies will total the car automatically. But, even if it wasnt totaled, its wrecked and hes asking 3500 for it?!? Thats good condition prices, imo. Or has the drift tax gone up that much?

it can be fixed. its all up to you if you want to do the work to get it back to straight. its for sure not worth the 3500 price tag. i say about 2000 is an ok price for it.

the car isnt "totalled" untill an insurance company has paid out for the car. this means you can smash a car flat against a wall and as long as the insurance has nothing to do with the car it will still have a clean title. my car has a clean title, and it is nowhere near perfect...

Don't do it. Especially not for that price. (Just my opinion.)
