Ive been lurking the forums for sometime now, and have been looking for a 240 as well.
I recently found one but am having second thoughts and I'm thinking i should cut my loses.
The front wheel wells are basically rust pits, i could go on but i think pictures say it all.
Let me know what you guys think, i need some advice from you guys that have been there and done that or not considering moving on to another chassis is always an option.

Depends on if you're handy with metal work or not. If you have the skills and space to do the metal work, and like doing it, then keep it. If you don't, I'd try to re-sell it. That's a lot of metal damage to take care of, lol.

Of the rust you can see, likely 90% more of it is underneath where you cant see... You better have access to a welder, and be good at welding.

Here's a couple build threads where someone de-rusted their s13's. Just so you get an idea of how hard it is.

That's a parts car. Sell off the good bits (there's a decent market for S13 parts) and walk away. No time to go into the "why", but I've never seen a car successfully and usefully resurrected from that level of rust (and I've been doing this a loooong time). :)

How's the rear license plate area? If it isn't rotted through, you could probably sell your car as a low rust gem in New England.

Pffft. You could have bought one here with zero rust and shipped it back east for less than the cost of the welder. Sucka. ;)

Hahahaha... I really need to redo my midpipe and add a resonator, but I'm not confident enough in my welding to get anywhere near it yet. :(

Hi.

My lord, that looks pretty bad. I don't mean to be presumptuous but I would not even bother to mess with that. I maybe trying to push my own cart, but I am sure if you look you can find a good body for a fair price, if a project is what you want. Depends on what you have put aside to spend on it, but you can buy a perfect finished product that has never been messed with for probably a fraction of what you can spend on a good restoration. You might want to take look at this link. Even if you are not interesred, at least it will give you an idea what road you should ponder.

you guys swear that 240sx' are rare. Last time I checked, (at least here in california) theres still a lot of clean unmodified ones lurking around.
