Im trying to set my ka24e to TDC. Is the right timing mark? I looked it up for the De but the timing pin is on the right side of the block, so im just making sure.

looks correct to me. normal 0 degree mark from nissan is the 2nd from the left and make even be a different color, which it looks like in the picture.

You're right on. If you want to double check, take off the distributor cap and make sure the rotor is pointing to the #1 slot. TDC isn't the second mark on all nissans, perhaps most. VG engines is the very left mark.

thanks but the reason i was doing this was because the dist. drive gear broke, resulting in a free spinning rotor!!
