Yeah, I think it is probably real, but I think it is kind of an illusion. It looks like there are two of them together making it look twice as long. And then, check out the guys coat sleeve next to it. It is big, but not really that big when you think of the coat sleeve. The camera angle and the combination of two of them makes it look much larger than it really is in my opinion.

I agree with Ryan - Clever camera angle, plus two "critters" makes it look extra-scary (and big).

I think camel spider (well 2 actually) is the name of it.

good size spider, but it's only a couple inches in diameter..

ever heard of a bird spider? they live in South america and are named for their favorite snack.... small birds. open a magazine and picture a spider big enough to cover it. Yeah. not kidding.

Those things don't look like spiders to me. They look members of the insurgency, undercovers. Clever buggers they are, I am glad they took them out.

Those are a pair of Solifugids (spelling). Not spiders per-se, but in the same family along with scorpions. The camera angle is making them look bigger, thought they are pretty large. They are hunters and can run and jump. No web.

When my ex- lived with me we had 9 tarantulas and 3 scorpions. We had the largest breed of spider in the world, the golaith bird eater. You couldn't handle that thing at all, way too agressive. Scorpions are more friendly by far.

dammnit that **** is crazy. i thought it was some joke, like some new weapon so some kinda thing created in a lab. they look like the facehuggers from aliens, or those things that attach to your arm from Earth: Final Conflict. and yeah, i ****ing hate spiders too. i burn, smoosh, crush, bash, anihlate, etc any spider i see, cept for wolf spiders, and garden spiders. if i know they're good, i dont mess with them.

seeing as how I am familiar with the army BDU right next to the bug. That furry thing is like 4"x5" = HOLY s*** if I saw a 4-5" ant I would shoot it first and ask Questions later (I hate fireants)
