I found a 1997 Q45T for sale about 20 min away from me. It has all the options.

The owner bought it with 29K miles and it now has 162K miles. He had it serviced regularly at the Infiniti dealer. He gave me a VIN so I can get a printout of the work done from the dealer (I have to go there anyways).

I may go to look at it tommorow and stop by at Infiniti to get the service records.

He is asking $5,950 obo.

Is this a good deal?

Thanks,

Omar

Assuming the interior and exterior are in excellent shape and it HAS had all that servicing, yeah, that should be a good deal. :-) Edmund's said about $6,700. I'd offer him $4900 or so, since it's $5,900 OBO.

Yeah, if it actually has all the service done, it's good deal. I just priced mine cause these low prices scare me but it still says I should be able to get close to 16k. I figure if it goes as it usually does with my cars, I always get more than book for them.

IF you snagged it for 5500, id call it a day! Those cars a really reliable and shouldnt cause you many problems..... Do the service records look good, you said it was regularly serviced, does it have proof? I suppose we'll find out!

Well, first of all, thanks all to your replies.

The car needs some repairs:

P/S Rack and Pump, Strut, Hub, Ball joint.

Its going in tommorow for some of the repairs. The driver side door panel is a little worn. So I am thinking to pass up on it.

However, I did find a black with tan interior 1994 Q45. The body is in great condition.

He is asking $2500 obo. He said he will give it to me for $1500 if I buy it tonight. He wont go lower than $1500.

The thing is, it has two problems however. It needs one fuel injector and the sunroof is a bit sticky. I talked to my shop guy and told me that it will cost about $500 (part and labor) to replace the injector.

Anyone selling injectors for a '94 Q?

Should I go for it? He is about 15 minutes away from me.

Thanks guys.

Injectors are a wear item, so you get a new one, say form http://www.everythinginfiniti.com .

The question you now have to ask is what else does it need? To start to answer that, you need the Infiniti dealer performed service history, along with any records the owner may have

Read the article or the recent post here on how to buy a Q45. Also read Q45tech's post about cash reserve required for any used car.

Whether or not to buy is your decision after you know all the facts.

As much as $1500 is a great price, check for a clean carfax and make sure you have $3k in the bank for the first year, then PULL the trigger.

Some records and an inspection by an Inf Tech could very easily be worth the wait.
