i know you can have downpipes that go 2'5 to 3' but do they make a test pipe substitute or something to go from a 2.5 down pipe to a 2.5 testpipe that flares into a 3'? the exhaust i want is only 3' and a 2'5-3 DP is like 650... what youn think? what about custom fabrication? hard to do?

So, basically you have a 3" cat-back and you want to fit it to your 2.5" test pipes?

Worst case scenario, you can get a 2.5" to 3" increaser flange welded to your 2.5" test pipe and then fit the 3" to that. Something like this: http://www.sfxperformance.com/parts/VIB2630.htm but you would have to have a 3" flange mated to it. It wouldn't be hard and an exhaust shop could do it in maybe a hour or two depending on if the broke exhaust bolts. Also depending on how good their welder is. Hope that helps

Like loverboy said, 2.5 to 3 is actually going to hurt performance. also what exhaust is made only in a 3"? Only exhaust I know thats available stricktly in 3" is the Z1race exhaust w/e its called, that someone had posted. boy do I really love that exhaust.

yeah its the z1 PG coupe race exhaust haha, thats the one im looking to get. only problem is 3 in dp's are so damn expensive..

Just save for them and get them new, or keep checking the classifieds you might be able to find a good quality used set.
