Hello everyone, I am new here and have a question. I have a KA24e motor that i would like to rebuild. I was curious if it is possible to place a KA24de head onto a KA24e block. All information is welcomed, thanks.

All SOHC blocks are virtually the same. So, if you take a head from a frontier which uses a SOHC block adn the front covers, you could bolt it onto your block. The only reason I suggest the frontier head is because the lower timing chain timing is the same however the upper cam chain for 240's is indexed differently. Since its mechanical I am positive you could make a 240 head work, I just cant suggest how to figure out the cam timing. Seen a couple of guys get it wrong just installing 240sx cams into a frontier engine. BENT valves suck! peace.
