while driving on the freeway the other day i had my heather running at 85.when it got a little hot i decided to completely turn the heather off while it was set at 85. after it was off the car was still warm but nothing coming out of the vents. i then turn the heather dial to 65 and turned it off, and it was pretty cool or at least the same as outside.

one more thing when i am doing about 70 on freeway the steering seems to have some play( could this be the tireware problem or?).thanks.

J's are equipped with auto climate control. You can preset/program your desired temperature to come on and off at whatever ambient temperature you desire.

What happens is, even if the climate contorl is turned off, it will still bring air through it.. via air pressure from the car moving... This way fresh air is always being pumped into the car, either with the fan or not!

It keeps your setting in memory and if you have the heater up all the way when you turn it off, thats how it keeps it......

Also a neet little feature thats not mentioned in the FSM or owners manual, you can turn the climate controller off, and then press one of the vent mode buttons (footwell, face, etc) and it will blow air in without the fan being run... I like it when its nice outside and also keeps fresh air coming in... the climate control will light up and you can control it that way too...
