Hi all I have a 1993 navara 4x4 with an injected KA24e engine, sometimes, but not always, after Ive driven the vehicle, then turn it off , about 5 minutes later I like hear the electric fuel pump ( in the tank) come on again for about 5 seconds, then turns off again.

Is this normal?, does it mean anything or something is on its way out?

the ignition key would be totally off when it does it.

I seem to recall my 95 D21 doing this on occasion. But then again I haven't had the thing in over 5 years so my memory is a little..no alot rusty.

Whenever its hot out the fuel tank pressure rises and vents through the rollover valve.Totally normal.Sounds like the pump but if you loosen the filler cap it goes away.It usually happens just after shutting off the engine.
