Is this normal (Engine loosing power)

My previous 3 Nissans have had the 3.5L engine, but this time I went with the 2.5L (2015 Altima SL). With the engine at idle, moving the steering wheel will result in the car experiencing a decrease in power - the heater fan will slow down, lights dim, etc. I'm just wondering if this is normal for the 2.5L engine, or if there is something up with my charging system.
