Is this my variable assist power steering?

I do not have this on the silver one, and I have noticed the black one is much harder to steer. After driving the "t" model, the std model felt twitchy.It is located directly under the brake master cylinder.

Does everyone else with the '94 to '96 have this?

I am finding a lot of differences, in the 2 cars. It is kinda cool, to see what Infiniti did different, in the 11 months between prodiction dates.

The "t" has a wider PS belt, and a much deeper reservoir, along with some kind of electrical wire sensing the PS fluid level.

Not sure what it is, but all Q's have variable assist - so that's not it.

How about checking your engine bay, to see if you have this thing under your brake master cylinder. On my silver one, I can see the frame rail, on the black "t", I see this.
