Wanting to replace the gear oil in my 1994 4 cyl Nissan Hardbody King Cab 4x4 pickup. Is this my front differential?
Two views shown below - front facing forward (I think it shows the check/fill plug) and bottom (I think it shows the drain plug). Both photos taken from under front bumper. Thanks!

If you change the gear lube in the rear differential make sure you use the correct lube. A lot of the 4x4 hardbody used posi traction rear differentials.

Two ways: 1) there will be a sticker on the back of the housing indicating to use LSD fluid only or 2) jack the rear of the truck up and turn one wheel while the truck is in neutral. If both wheels spin the same direction you have limited slip. If one wheel turns the opposite direction you have an open diff.
