Is this motor too cheap?

I have been looking for a motor since August and came across a few. one for $300 and two for the low price of $400. i finally decided on one thats going to cost me $400. I was wondering if this was too cheap even for an N/A or is this a common price for this motor, it still runs. The guy said he did a TT swap and the motor is now cluddering up his garage. oh yeah here is the weird part it supposedly has only 88 thousand miles, im i getting set up?, please help this noob.

I've seen motors for that cheap, its possible for the NA since no one wants those motors most of the time. JDM importers for 30k miles certified and pressure tested range 500-800 on the low side if your worried... go that route

agreed, everyone wants the TT the N/A motors can be had cheap but often they have problems taht motivated the swap! a leakdown test would be nice, or just plan on a re ring and re seal

i have a twin turbo motor and 5-speed transmission i will sell cheap the motor was in a 1990 300zxtt and the kid who had it before me put the timing belt on wrong and bent the valves in the heads so i was told so i bought remanufactured heads with the cams and gears and just lost intrest i will sell it all for $800 obo let me know asap

they should be fine i havnt pulled the motor apart but from what i was told everthing is good on the motor there is 150,000 on the motor any questions call me 13867850055 asap
