Yo where in Jersey? and did you ask for the 3" yourself or they knew what they were doing? I have a magnaflow axel back and was thinking about getting a straight pipe.JdsCoupe wrote:450$ seems a little steep. I paid 350$ for a custom flowmaster cat-back from 2.25 to 3". unfortunately i live in jersey so i cant help you out with a shop, but i might be able to post a picture of my receipt and you can take it and shove it in his face. good luck!
The larger the exhaust diameter the less the pressure, while this seems like a good thing (going to a much larger diameter) it really isnt. If you go to large you will actually lose power. For a 2.5 I'd recomend 2.25", maybe 2.75 boosted. For a 3.5 3" is too much unless boosted as well, i wouldnt go larger then 2.75". The determining factor for best diameter is the hp the engine puts out, thats how you decide the best diameter for what you wantmikethemike wrote:I thought 3'' would create back pressure. Or does it not matter if its the axle back?
i just need to know how to clean the inside of the cat back, but now that yuo mention it the tips do have some dirt in it so thanks for the advicewade001 wrote:the tips? I heard 000 steel wool works real good

wow I type like a friggin retard sometimes lol, i meant INSIDE the pipes. I'm sorry about thatwade001 wrote:If you want to clean the outside of the pipe (if i get u right) the steel wool and maybe a lil soap might do it. otherwise using a metal polish compound will do it.
There isnt really a way to clean the inside, why do you want to clean the inside??? Are you talking about cleaning the inside of the welds of the pipe????mikethemike wrote:wow I type like a friggin retard sometimes lol, i meant INSIDE the pipes.
