I heard about these kits in the KA-T forum, so I went to e-Bay and checked them out.

Here's the URL for one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

Do you guys think this is a legitimate kit? Has anyone installed and/or used one of these kits who could provide some information from experience? If legit, this is extremely cheap horsepower, and almost too good to be true!!

Thanks for the info.

Thats actually not a bad kit. A buddy of mine bought it for his 93 an is coming up on 700miles with it on an running 10lbs daily. No cracks in the mani an everything is perfect.

But if it does break, the only thing he would have to buy is a manifold right?

thats a k deal, but you still gotta buy the injectors, intercooler and couple other things which then add up to $1000+,.

should be good:).

Would you be able to get some pics of the fitment? I am wondering if it'll work with ABS in a S13?

Thanks

Wow, 10psi? That's pushing some decent boost. Does your friend's engine have its stock internals?

My car is mostly stock i.e. I/H/E and 300ZX brakes w/ master cylinder. Is this turbo kit worth sacrificing my HotShot header and BRM stainless exhaust? I don't have the money to rebuild my bottom end, so will I be able to make decent power with this kit on stock internals?

If you go turbo you'll be able to keep your brm exhaust, but you will ahve to lose your hotshot headers, hopefully you'll havea good enough turbo kit that it can make more power than your headers, then you can just sell your headers for some extra money. As far as handling 10 psi on stock internals, as long as you tune it right, you're fine. But there's always a risk, if you're engine is in good condition and you make sure it's tuned correctly so you're not running incredibly lean or something, you'll do fine at that amount of boost. Ivan's made about 300+hp on 10psi. And I'm sure he'll increase that in no time. Now you won't make that much with your kit, unless you decide to go full race with everything, but it's just an idea. Your internals should be good to 400hp unless something goes wrong, which happens pretty often. Just don't get careless and you should probably stay around 200-250 if you're scared about what it might do and you're new to it. However, that's all just my opinion.

that's a pretty interesting kit...

FWIW, the seller is legitimate and apparently ss makes some OK bottom mount manifolds...I'm just wondering if the trim of the turbocharger is good enough....
