I heard about these kits in the KA-T forum, so I went to e-Bay and checked them out.

Here's the URL for one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

Do you guys think this is a legitimate kit? Has anyone installed and/or used one of these kits who could provide some information from experience? If legit, this is extremely cheap horsepower, and almost too good to be true!!

Thanks for the info.

The mani in the pic is for a SR20, but it may be a generic pic. I'd email them to be sure, also, the price of the turbo, WG and BOV with all the plumbing makes it worth while to me. I hate those mani's, but the price is right.

Also, the mani may not fit if you have a S14 with ABS. It didn't fit mine.

Wow, that's an amazing deal considering a new turbo usually runs around $500 itself. But yeah...I'd check with them about the mani

"CA18DET MANIFOLD SHOWN - BUT YOU WILL GET A KA24DE " TOP " MOUNT NISSAN MANIFOLD"^quoted from auction

their turbos arent balanced, their manifolds crack easily with the weight of the turbo (bracing is an option to aviod it) and need to be worked a little, and notice none of the stuff is branded. theyre all taiwanese made, lower quality, parts. thats why theyre cheap. they'll work but wont last.

I just Recieve my Kit today. and I have to say its very impressive.. I paid $630 shipped for my kit, and for what I paid thats worth it.. There's people thats going to bash on the kit, but most likely they dont own one them self and they only heard bad rumors about it..

wtb240 I dont know what you mean by the Turbo isnt ballance its pretty ballance to me and spin freely.

It doesnt mean that the kit is cheap its going to fail on you right away.. Isnt modifying cars taking risk.. for everything you put into your car you're taking a gamble. Even if the product is brand name its not 100% guarantee that it will last forever, or even work the way it should expect to. For the Price that you are paying for the kit I think its well worth it so go for it..

2d-ink- WOHOO, i've been waiting for someone to say those words! I plan on getting this kit as well, but I really wanted to hear someone's opinion who actually has it. Are you planning on installing it soon? What else are you getting to go with the SSA kit? Of course intercooler and walbro, but anything else? Did you get it for S13 or S14? ANy other comments you have would be greatly appreciated. If you would rather not post in this thread, you can email me as well- [email protected]

thanks!

by balanced he means the internals of the turbo: wheels, shaft.

its like high speed balancing a wheel after u put a tire on. those turbo wheels sping up to 150,000rpms.

What wastegate is that? Looks like the deltagate...not a bad price for the parts, that turbo will cost you more by itself at usedtobecheapturbo.com...the blow off valve looks decent...

I may pick up this kit just to get me started, easy to upgrade to better components as you go along...also, all this stuff would be easy to sell off locally after...

Anyone know where to get a compressor map for this turbo so we can compare it to the KA's chart? Also, am i the only one who thinks the claim of this turbo making 500hp a little much?

My car is mostly stock i.e. I/H/E and 300ZX brakes w/ master cylinder. Is this turbo kit worth sacrificing my HotShot header and 2.5 " BRM stainless exhaust? I don't have the money to rebuild my bottom end, so will I be able to make decent power with this kit on stock internals?

Yes, WDRacing, my car is an S14 with ABS, so manifold fitment could be a problem? If so, that somewhat taints this kit's appeal, since the price is for a turbo, manifold, WG, BOV, and most required hardware/hoses.

Does anyone here know someone with this kit installed who could provide feedback?

Could anyone recommend a good intercooler, piping, etc for this kit?

SoCalSilvia: I bought it for my S13. so Far I only have the Kit.. I'm planning to pick up one of there Intercooler, A Walbro fuel pump, some 550cc injectors and a SAFC.. My plan on installing this isnt going to be for a while.. I live in Utah so for the past few days its been freezing temperature out side.

For Intercooler Pipping I'm gona go get some Pipe and Bend it in metal work shop class. IF anyone need me to test fit this kit on a S13 I can and I'll take picture of it just ask me and I'll do it..

I'm a High school student so I'm trying to save as much money as I can so I'm using all the resources I can at school. I plan on doing all my pipping and welding at school to save money..
