yokota, i dont think diff is the first thing to go for as you said before... learning to drift on open dif does suck, but the switch to any type lsd is a walk in the park after learning to get comfortable drifting on open diff. plus, watching a car try to drift on stock suspension is a sad sight
sorry dude i totally disagree with you

a REAL differential should be your first actual mod. then coilovers, then a seat. you may not understand the importance of a seat because you are still a relatively new drifter, but trust me, it makes a HUGE difference.

then after those, horsepower.

I will 100% disagreeWhen you on the track in a stock seat, and your being moved about, and having to use your knees to hold you in one place, or your arms while still driving, its extremely distraction

buy a seat that holds you in, and you will be able to concentrate more on drifting than driving...

there should be NO power upgrades, until you are good with what you have.i am a HP monger and like top of 3rd and 4th drifts....so it doesnt apply to me.

and drifting with an OPEN diff is as ghey as your newb advice.

and who cares if stock suspension is a sad sight, im sure your r33 s14 is too...but i digressthis is about what to do to drift better.take the advice from peopel that do the **** and succeed, or people that are still learning.

sup yokota.. havent seen u in a bit..

i didnt read all this stuff but i think i saw a few guys hit it on the head.. parts dont make u drift better.. u can buy all the useless cusco and tein **** u want but if u cant get a feel for your car and how it responds.. u will still suck.. take all that money u are about to throw away in parts and go to a drift day or practice event.. ull learn more and improve more with money spent that way than u will on any sweet part u can buy.

also.. most drift cars are actually setup towards the grip side believe it or not. your car needs to be able to grip the corner at high speed in order to drift it at speed. if your car handles like crap either its setup wrong or u havent learned how to control it to the fullest.. ''go to some track days and practice events.. youll get it im positive.

ouch... u still sore cause i didnt want u to smash my hachi into the wall at MB huh? Its a known fact 240 drivers have no idea how to drift a hachi.. its that simple. look at marshall hes one of the best damn 240 drifters out there his laps in the 86 amounted to understeer or spinout near everytime.. he said my car was too much work to slide.. dont get me wrong i know for a fact he could learn it and slide it just fine.. hes a great driver.. but its no where near as easy as the easy button equipped 240 chassis. hell why do u think i picked one up beat the **** out of..lol. :D

Dude ive been drifting my 240 with nothing more than vlsd, I stripped the hatch for weight but only so I could move my seat brackets back to have leg room. All the money I see some of my friends spend on stupid mods to drift hasnt taught them any control over the vehicle where as my car has body roll like a MF but I still slide it around at my low level.
