Yep, thats not stock, looks like an oil sending unit for oil pressure gauge.

and does anyone know how to remove a torque converter off the RB25? jesus there are no bolts on this thing.

bottom of the splash plate there is a black plug kinda odd shapped. remove it and rotate the flexplate around till you can get a socket on it threw the hole where the plug was. remove the bolt, rotate, remove bolt etc. should be 3 bolts total.
