My dealer friend told me he can get me this car and fix it all up for me for a total of $4300 USD, everything included except 2 airbags. engine got only 92k miles, 5 speed manual 1998 240sx SE. It really looks like a good deal, but I am afraid that the wreck is too bad and it hurted th chassis/frame. I am not sure if the chassis/frame was hurt from the picture, I need some expert advice, please look at the picture and let me know your opinion, thanks.

The reason I want this car is because I was going to convert a Zenkei to Kouki, and it cost too much money to do the front end conversion and my friend suggest me to just get this one and fix it up because he told me this one is really fixable and only cost 4300 including the car, parts and all the labors, chassis/frame is all I am worrying about.

^ Agreed.

Salvage-title vehicles can present problems down the road, as most insurance companies will NOT offer full coverage on one.

That means if you wreck it, it's coming out of your pocket.

Check pic 4, looks to me the frame's bent on the passenger side. I agree, find a straight Zenki if that's your budget.

If you can get it for cheap it may be worth parting out if you had time and maybe keeping some parts. I wouldn't buy it to repair it and drive it. Like nametakennow says looks like the frame is bent. So it will most likely never drive true again. You will always have alignment problems. Better off walking away and finding a clean car.

no, don't buy it. Let someone who's more decisive and informed have it.

Almost ALL insurance agencies will provide full coverage regardless of title branding. Of course, you can't even register a Salvage-branded car and have to change it to a different status before doing so.

^^ pure example of internet forum bull****. I've never ran into this problem myself nor heard of locals having this issue.
