is this car worth getting ? (wreck 98 240sx with 92k miles) Pic included

My dealer friend told me he can get me this car, get all the parts, fix it all up and paint it for me for a total of $4300 USD, everything included except 2 airbags. engine got only 92k miles, 5 speed manual 1998 240sx SE. It really looks like a good deal, but I am afraid that the wreck is too bad and it might have hurted the chassis/frame. I am not sure if the chassis/frame was hurt from the picture, I need some expert advice, please look at the picture and let me know your opinion, thanks.

the car looks like a salvage, let's address this first, if it's a salvage, it doesn't worth 4800$, period, I don't care what blue book is even though I am sure it already says no value.

Car with frame damage, especially side impact, is a big no no, you don't know how well they fix it, chances are they can't make it back to perfect. It's not worth it in my book but hey, maybesomeone else will tell you otherwise.

If you just want to drive it around, not too fast and no modification, maybe it worth 3000$, to me.

Maybe i didnt explain too well in my paragraph. My friend was going to buy this car, buy all the parts, fix it, paint it and sell it to me for 4300, not buying the wreck car for 4300

still a rip off, to your friend atleast, i don't see him making even making a penny. i wouldn't do that to a "friend" but if he's being really generous than go for it. i'd atleast help fix it as long as the friend knows how to fix such damage.

poor kouki... i dunno tough call,the parts whould be worth a bit, but some big money parts (on 4sale forums) are gone like the sideskirts/ 1/4 pannel. I hate airbags... another reason mine are disconnected, i dont care if its illegal or not... i only see them helpfull in big highway accidents

mainly its the frame damage thats the problem, if it wasnt damaged, then whoever wrecked it probibly whouldnt of put it into the scrap heap (he was obviusly a fan of the car, noting the Silvia emblem)so it whouldnt be set for any track

This car is on the dealer only auction website, since my friend has the dealer license, he can get this car for fairly cheap, he told me he will source the door from junkyard, and maybe buy some parts from nissan with dealer discount, that is why he is able to fix the whole thing and sell it to me for 4300.

He has a shop and all he does is buy whreck cars, fix them and sell them, that is what he does for living, sigh i dont know, my head is about to explode. I think I probably will go with everyone's recommendation and just not get this car since there might be frame/chassis damage.

most likely there is frame damage im sure if it because of the 4th pic everything is pushed up. i look at f'd up cars a lot. its nice for rolling around with i mean a daily driver nowadays is very expensive. you could still fix it though buying a 95-97 frame at a junkyard yu could probably fix it later on. i mean you can still drift with it im serious most of us cant really drift with our perfect frame cars too well anyway

I'm with the others, It's hard to say. If It was me personally, I would wait for a non-wrecked one. I know it sounds like a good deal, but used cars already have problems for the most part and that could be real big headache down the road. My 2 cents.

I cant ever really tell what damage is bad but in pictures 8 and 9 the front wheel looks like it has bad negative camber( im not sure if i was right on that) like the top of the wheel is in while the bottom is out wouldnt that mean the strut tower is f'ed? I guess i could agree with other people said and say just wait until you find one thats not wrecked. cuz i know if that were my car and i crashed it i would have at least got it checked out by someone before i just junked it. you know to see if it was worth while bein fixed.

Ok, that's what's called a PARTS CAR.

It is good for one thing and one thing only, to get stripped for spare OEM goods.

Don't drive it, don't let anyone else drive it, dont' rebuild it, don't fark around with it.

Frame Damage = totaled, I don't care what can get bent back which way, I don't trust any car that's been hurt that badly.
