Alright so this prolly the lamiest post i have ever made but i am seriously struck inbetween this situation and i am having a hard time just saying to yes to the trade..just read lol anyways so i have a 96 s14 that i am getting ready to sell. Its just a nice car with mild bolt ons and some wheels, nothing crazy special but i am selling it to invest the money into my 95 for next years competitions and so thats where this starts.

My 96 needs a few things before i am comfortable with selling it. A new windsheild and the bumpers repainted which at this point is a week or two from completion but my closest friend has decided that he wants to do another S-chassis and after looking around he decided that my car was the car he wants which is perfectly fine with me, honestly if i had the choice of who gets this car it would be him just because the car is sentimental to me and i dont want to see it cut up into a drift car by some tard but buisness is buisness i guess, anyways we agreed on a price and a time frame for the transaction to take place and its all convenient for both me and him seeing as i am no rush to sell the car quickly. Its a sound deal between us that evolved about 2-3 weeks ago but here is where the issue comes into play.

My friend brad works with a guy that he is friends with and i know the guy vaguely also, i bought some parts from him before but anyways he somehow found out my car was for sale and called brad (my friend) about it and brad tells the guy "well its pretty much sold to me'' and the guy insist on offering me something for it, a plasma cutter and a 95 s14 roller....i'm not interested in that so i tell brad to tell him it's not for sale and he keeps insisting that he needs it and then for the grand finale he offers me this:

1.) 1991 hatch with an sr20 and 5zigen fn01rc's on it. I know the car, its a decent s13 with a healthy sr.

2.) the 95 roller...complete besides the motor and trans.

********wants to trade straight up for my car*****

says he needs a nice dailly thats good on gas and this is a great deal on my part, the profit that i could margin off this compared to selling it to my friend brad is greatly higher. I dont need the cars, I have a project going and i'm just trying to sell off stuff that i have that i dont need but i could trade-resale- and come out around 1500-2k ahead right off the bat.

My friend says he understands if i trade b/c its a great deal but i know that it would be pretty hard to cope with since he has his heart set on it and it makes me feel like a jack a** if i traded but its all buisness right? so just place yourself in my position and express to me which route you would go with.

Damn, tough decision.

Swap the SR into the 95 roller and sell it to your friend?

does your friend have the cash right now to buy your car? if he does, be a bro and sell it to him like you originally said you would. If he doesn't have the money right now and wants you to hold it for him, trade.

well me and my friends deal wasnt scheduled to go thru till a couple more weeks, i dont think putting him on the spot like that would be fair, like i said i'm in no rush to sell it.
