today i got new rear tires.

don't ask why i did this, but cruising anywhere above 60, when i wiggle the wheel from side to side (2 inches left n right, about) the car seems "loose". it seems like only the front of the car is moving in the direction its supposed to go, then the rear seems to tag along late. it's hard to explain without showing you - but it seems like if i wiggle the wheel bigger, i can feel even more distincly how much later the rear comes around and grips. this is most likely also why i have "snap oversteer" on this specific car.

here's whats up. i completely changed the rear subframe of the car, and put back the arms and did a eyeball manual alignment by measuring. i know this is by no means a real alignment. what does it sound like my problem is? too much +toe? caster? camber? Preach and i'll listen.

sidenote: i have 25mm spacers in the rear.

I don't have much experience with rear wheel alignment problems but can tell you the strong self centering and reluctance to turn is a symptom of too much toe in and caster to high an angle, although I don't know how you would get the caster out by much.Did a caster angle change on the front once with a factory kit, increased it, didn't like the change. Sorry to state the obvious but a 4 wheel alignment seems to be the way to go, or at least a check with printout so you can see what the current set up is.

Either you have:

A: Really big sidewalls or low psi in your tires (I've felt both, and they feel terrible on a car with coilovers)

B: A lot of toe in in the rear. Toe in causes straight line stability but gives very loose, sluggish response.

Regardless, you should get an alignment.
