I don't see anything about it coming with a wiring harness, which you will need. Usually the only time you will have everything needed for a swap is if you buy a front clip.

i sent the guy an email and he sent me a detailed list wich stated the wiring harness was sold seperately for an additional 40 bucks so i'll just pay a little extra for it... but other than that does this look good...

i looked at getting a manual front clip, but it just doesnt seem affordable for a 9 to 6 at home depot sallary ... what i really need to know is other than the engine, the turbos and manifolds, the intercoolers, ecu, manual transmission, radiator, and wiring harness, what do i need? and will me buying these parts seperatly and still getting this engine transmission ecu set up be cheaper, equal to, or more expensive than buying a front clip, ive already looked at a tt radiator kit, an FMIC (with piping), and an oil cooler kit and it looks like i can get all three for around 800 but is that all i need... this is some hard ****!!

this is the list the guy sent me in the email

Included in the package price: JDM Nissan 300ZX 3.0L V6 Twin Turbo Engine JDM 5 Speed Transmission (Automatic transmissions are also available at no difference in cost) JDM Computer (ECU) Twin T25 turbochargers Intake manifold Exhaust manifold Alternator Throttle Body Power Steering Pump A/C Compressor Starter Clutch Flywheel and it looks like it does come with a full wiring harness, actually it is the last one that does according to him... he said:

"Just to let you know, out of the several engines we have in stock we only have one engine left with a complete wiring harness."

If you want to use the N/A transmission, you will have to grind a little bit away on the bell housing, but nothing too much. But if you are really tight on money and just trying to squeak by, I would not recommend doing a swap. You will always encounter more expenses than planned when you do a swap.

the difference in the trannys is a larger flywheel to provide more surface to grabe on more power coming through a tt. larger flywheel is heavier so they went with a smaller one for na to reduce rotating mass. so they also used a slight slimer housing which can be made to fit. i suggest use the tt transmission in all cases if possible. the less stuff you touch the less usually goes wrong...

true true

i wouldnt want to have to grind anything out anyways, i dont even have the tools, so id have to have it done at the shop... but other than the stuff listed up top, do i need anything else. other than of course, a boost controller, maybe a turbo timer, gauges..... uh not sure if it comes with the stock recirculation valves will i need bov's or stock replacements?

thats what z1 prices a jdm tt frontclip, BUT, i have 3 importers here in montreal with sub 100,000km (60k miles) manual clips for around $2000cdn.

I'd never pay $3000US for an automatic front clip lol.

Anybody have a realistic idea of how long it would take two mechanically inclined guys to do a swap wth a full clip? assuming all the tools are on hand and the shop is properly equipped. a full weekend? Took us about 2 hours to rip off the transmission and change the clutch/flywheel/main seal etc and put it all back together and bleed it... to give you an idea of mechanical competence.

*sry for the thread hi-jack* -- If you're not going to be doing teh swap yourself, perhaps you should ask the mechanic who WILL be doing it, whether or not he has everything he needs. The clip will (almost) always be cheaper than buying an engine + accompanying parts.
