Hey all

Since I made rice of my ka last summer I have been on NICO and other forums pretty much daily since I've never done a swap before an basically I've started an account here to ask this question lol

Motor is pretty much just a proper, stock CA18 swap.
Fmic
Walboro 255 pump
Intake
Hks wastegate (for t25g)
Boost gauge
&
No exhaust....( Yet) It's a open a/m elbow that's it!

So anyways, after installing the new actuator the car pulls solid 16 psi at wot and a good roll on is where I like it (around 12-14psi)

I'm not convinced that my motor enjoys it as much as me...well...close anyways
So my question is this

Without upgrading maf, turbo, injectors, tune and map etc would setting the base fuel pressure slightly higher (5psi) with an adjustable fpr be a "good" idea, as opposed to leaving the stock reg as it is right now, stock lol
I've got a fpr to install if it is even worth the effort, but I don't honestly know if this is an acceptable(ish) way to run higher boost....compared to leaving the fpr stock, say.
I would think it is ok since maybe a little rich idle and bad mpg could result at worst

Ps bought motor set from Japan Star Motors, not a bad place to deal with either

I would bring the psi down to 10-12. Really you won't see much gains beyond that with the stock turbo and it's just not worth all the hot air after that. Your stock FPR should be fine when you crank up the boost slightly.

Basically, no. The stock tune is rich anyway, so the last thing you need is more fuel. Also, 5psi of fuel pressure won't make hardly any change to the fuel volume.

You're really close to boost cut where you're running it at right now. I would HIGHLY reccomend that you back the boost off as much as possible until you can get supporting mods for more fuel and tuning.

Ya haha It's definitely hitting fuel cut in this weather
I'm lookin at buying a adjustable WG base set at 5psi on a gt28
Would this exceed 10 psi on the ca T25?
