i have a kat running on a t25 and 370cc...

so i was planning on building it a little, money is the problem here...

arias 8.8 to 1 cr and 89.5mm

acl main and rod bearings

cosmetic headgasket and arp head studs

new valve seals

s13 hot cams on intake and exuast

will it be okay to run these lower compression piston or should i just go with 9 to 1 cr...and will my head be able to hold up for 12psi...what else do you guys recommend replacing and why...im still new to this so dont be so harsh, and this is what i have come up with so far...

If you haven't done any ignition or fuel system tuning you should probably look into building on that as well. Nothing extreme though as you aren't looking to make monster figures, Maybe Fuel pump and FPR.

If money is a problem then dont bother with a built bottom end. Get a good tuning system and a good tune, and it will be reliable under 300-350 hp.

Also dont waste your time with a cometic HG. Felpros hold over 450 hp all day long.

what you have looks good i would get the cometic head gasket and arp head studs your top end is good stock as long as you dont go over 7000rpm thats when you start to get valve float and you need atleast a rom tune or piggy back to make it safe and a msd blaster coil or/and 6A or 6AL beond that if you take apart the block there is a few tricks you can do before you put it back together

If you plan on upgrading your piston make sure to upgrade your rods so that you wouldnt have to worry about it later when you plan to boost higher. there was a guy on the forum who upgraded piston but stock rod and later had a bent rod. so do yourself a favor and get some rods if you plannning to upgrade pistons. i would also get brand new timing parts water pump oil pump i also restricted the oil to the head so there was more for the turbo and bottem end. and you need rods to sorry i forgot that

I don't know what your goals are for the near future, but there's NO need for new pistons or rods until you goals reach past 350. Up to 350 the stock internals will be more then adequate. So it's just wasteful spending if your power goals are small. To bring this into perspective, you'll need a new turbo and an entire new fuel system and management system before you'll need to worry about over stressing the stock parts.

Like 480 said already, concentrate on tuning first and foremost. Then get a better turbo and bigger injectors.

If you're rebuilding just to have a long lasting reliable motor, then just do a basic re-ring job. By that I mean new piston rings, new bearings, new oil and water pump, new gaskets etc. Felpro FTW...cometic FTL.

Head studs with a T25? GTFO of my forum with that BS

yeah i wanted to build it...reason for is i lost compression on my #4 cylinder...i just got it turboed and pushed it at most like 10 times just first to third gear then slowed it down...but besides that i just drove at most 500 miles...compression # is 90 on cylinder #4 and 150 on the other three, this is on a cold start...

so your saying i could just replace my rings and ill be good...
