Bet noone would have guessed on a Chevy with a Skyline engine...
Holden is the Aus subsidiary of General Motors. On one model of the Commodore they bought Nissan straight 6's. They had an agreement with Nissan that if they bought the 3.0 RB, that Nissan couldn't make and sell another 3.0 elsewhere.
Here's a pic of the VL commodore... (from 86-88 they had the RB30)

I believe you take the RB30 block from the VL Commodore and put on the RB25 or 26 head.

RB30 engines only came in Single Cam configuration. They were in the Skyline & the Holden Commodore, which also had a Turbo Version, which had a stronger block, crank etc & this is the best one to get for mods. You can now buy kits to change them to Twin Cam, & the RB25 head fits the easiest. Everything lines up, but you need different manifolds.
