Well I went to the nissan dealer yesterday and they were asking about $250 for 1 sensor!slickroger wrote:when i asked about replacing an 02 sensor everyone on here said not to take any chances and just get one from the dealer.

Just a few minutes ago I found this one: NGK O2 Sensor thanks for the OEM info too!Lars wrote:I replaced one of mine with a Bosch universal. If you go this route make sure you solder it properly. My dad was a MBZ master tech before he retired and used these all the time. He soldered mine.
Another option is to buy a NTK (NGK) replacement. When I was looking for one for myself, I found out that NTK is the oem supplier for Nissan. I think I found the NTK replacement for around $50 with plug.
Ok, I can't access your links... but try this:

Depending on sensor around $100 to $150.

Thanks Mikey, I just sent them a message asking for specifics. After 2 days of soaking and finally breaking down because I hate the way my QX4 sounds I reinstalled my faulty O2. It hasn't thrown a code and is staying in the proper voltage range but I'm sure that will only last for so long.Mikey178 wrote:Here you go, this may not work for the 2001 QX4, but when I was buying both sides I had asked the seller if they would work. I had the item numbers and I wanted to confirm that they were the correct items.
You may wanna contact them and ask if they have for the 2001 QX4.

That plus blew it out with an air nozzle which really didn't do anything. Sat in gasoline for 48 hours. 36 would have been better but I couldn't stand the sound any longer and the car had to be driven.W O T wrote:Just soaked in gas right?
Almost forgot, NGK makes the stock o2 sensor so don't buy from the dealer, unless you can get it cheaper which is doubtful.slickroger wrote:when i asked about replacing an 02 sensor everyone on here said not to take any chances and just get one from the dealer.

It worked for a few days then the code reappeared. Both of the position 2 sensors are after the catalytic converters and I believe are only for smog purposes. It's the before cat sensors(position 1) that help determine fuel mixture. So if either of your position 2 sensors go out you shouldn't see a difference in the performance. If you're going for a smog check and can't fix it in time I recommend the gas method.GRNMACHINE wrote:Billy,
Sensor still functioning after the gas bath?? Did u get driveability issues? I dont feel, hear, see any difference with the faulty sensor. Bank 2 Sensor 2
