my friend selling his 2004 QX56 with 100k miles. he is looking for $13k. bench seat.
is this a good price for the car?
also, does the Qx56 needs the timing belt job for this mileage? or any major service for it?

Please let me know

Thanks

I don't know the cost on the timing belt replacement, but check with your local Infiniti dealer, then check with your Nissan dealer, because they carry the EXACT same part for the 2004 Armada.

That does seem like a good price though!

the question is, the QX run by timing belt or timing chain?
on ebay, I just see the people selling timing chain parts for the QX, but nothing about timing belt.

It looks like the price is fair but you really haven't given enough details on this one for us to know for sure. Has your friend kept up on the maintenance? Is it 4WD or 2WD? How is the body and interior? How is it running? Does it need tires, brakes, exhaust, tune-up, etc.? You should really take it to a dealer/indy mechanic for a health check before you purchase it. If you had to go through the entire truck and replace all of the fluids, brakes, battery, tires, etc., this would cost you thousands. Also, the 2004 model year had some quality issues, not all that bad, but still things that are more of annoyances. I had many of mine taken care of under warranty but if your friend left them unattended, you may want to think twice about this one. I will say that I absolutely love my 04' QX56 so if your friend's QX doesn't work out for you, you are definitely looking at the right model to purchase.
