I got my new nismo rims yesterday and i want to powder coat them a low gloss black. i went to 4 different places where i live and got quotes ranging from $60 to $135 per rim. is the $60 per rim a good price? im not sure what a good rate for powder coating is. anyone have any input? thanks!

Shoddy workmanship is not worth any price. One price is twice as much as the other. There's probably a reason.

I would be more concerned about the quality of the work than the price. Ask for samples, talk to people who he has done work for. It will be very disappointing to pay someone to powdercoat something only to have it peeling off in a few months.

The prep work is what is key when powdercoating. They need to remove all of the original finish to get the powder to really stick.

Once they're prepped, there's nothing to throwing on the powder and sticking them in the oven.
